Pros (+) Booked at last minute because of very poor accomodation near the royal mile so didn't compare with other hotels so not sure if this was vfm but just needed a better location to get away from the festival area
Cons (-) A fair walk from castle and tattoo venue but not too bad. The facilities were ample but not brilliant what you'd expect really from a budget hotel

Cons (-) It wasn't as clean as normal as we have stayed a few times. There was two big clumps of long hair over our bags and towels after they had been on the floor....yuck!

Cons (-) Poor cleaning standards. Staff was not helpful when we ask questions. 2 consecutive days, clean towels were only delivered very late in the day... Dirty towels, which were placed on the floor, as requested to be changed, were left on the floor by the staff.

Pros (+) 20 min walk from Edinburgh old town, 5 min walk from haymarket tram stop. Very convenient.
Cons (-) Shower pressure was very low, seemed to be a crack/leak in the shower head (room 210). Air con was very minimal until i went to reception and asked if it could be turned up, which they happily did for me. I paid £369 for 2 nights end of September, bit steep considering it is a small compact room.
